Saturday 27th November:

#IWAC – REMASTERED (3.00 Newbury) – This eight-year-old has mostly performed consistently in his career so far with the odd blip on a couple of occasions but overall has some nice form in the book. This will be only his fifth career start over fences but he already has form figures of 1-1-1-5 with one of those victories coming in the Grade 2 Reynoldstown at Ascot back in February when beating the re-opposing Demachine by a comfortable four-lengths. He ran well for a very long way at Cheltenham subsequently in the NH Chase over 3m6f when fading after the second last to finish a held 5th so the drop back in trip to 3m2f should suit much better on a track like this too. He returned to action with a solid effort over hurdles as a pipe opener for this when beaten just over a length at Aintree and if he comes on for that run he could well play a major role in this year’s Ladbroke Trophy with him still unexposed in this sphere and capable of improvement which may make his mark of 146 lenient. A couple of firms are playing up to 7 places for each-way bets. (12/1) – Sky Bet – 0.5pt ew (7 places)Lost (-1)
