Saturday 13th November:

#NAP – CRACKING DESTINY (2.00 Wetherby) – Ran well over C&D the last day when beaten a length-and-a-half in second and off only a pound higher mark here I think he might be able to go one better with conditions to suit again. He’s won off 5lb and 3lb lower marks and there still might be room for manoeuvre in his current rating and this is a weaker race than last time out, dropping from a 0-155 listed event into a 0-140. Should be heavily involved if producing a similar if not better effort. (4/1) – William Hill – 1pt – Lost (-1)

#IWAC – MIDNIGHT SHADOW (2.15 Cheltenham) – This eight-year-old is still slightly unexposed in handicaps having contested in only 8/22 both chase and hurdles so far. He won twice in this sphere over hurdles with his highest winning rating coming off a mark of 141, and though 6lb higher here this gelding has ran to a good level including when second behind a handicap blot over the extended 2m4f on the new course last December (off a pound higher mark). He’s a course winner twice before, once in the Grade 2 Relkeel Hurdle before winning in the same grade in January of last year when beating the re-opposing Paint The Dream in the Dipper Novices’ Chase. He returned to action with a solid third in the Old Roan at Aintree last month beaten just over two-lengths behind the talented Allmankind and with that run under his belt he could well come on for that and hopefully post another solid effort in this typically tough handicap. (11/1) – William Hill – 0.5pt ew (6 places) – WON (+7.6)

Stake: 2pt

November P/L: -0.15pts

Overall P/L (Sept ’17-present): +578.41pts
