Tuesday 2nd November:
#NAP – DUBAI SOUQ (2.10 Redcar) – Two career wins so far came in his two-year-old campaign, which included a soft ground handicap success by six-lengths off a mark of 85 and this four-year-old now runs off a lower rating of 82. The form of his most recent second placed finish at York has taken a couple of boosts since with the third and fourth both scoring since, so from the same mark with the softer conditions likely to suit better I can see this gelding running another solid race if showing his best form under 3lb-claimer Stefano Cherci. (9/2) – Bet365 – 1pt – WON (+5.5)
#NB – ENQARDE (2.55 Exeter) – Was last seen when pulling up in the Scottish Grand National (4m) but had previously shown some good form over the winter months since joining this yard. He was beaten a neck on stable debut before going one better in a novice hurdle and after an unseat on chasing debut he went on to score by three-and-a-half-lengths over this trip on soft ground in a decent Ascot handicap. 6lb higher now but he may have more to offer this term, has the stamina and though he might want the ground on the soft side he should still handle the surface. (15/2) – Bet365 – 1pt – Lost (-1)
