Tuesday 12th October:
#NAP – WHITE WALKER (4.50 Huntingdon) – Unsuccessful when trained by Dan Skelton but has improved his form since joining Gary hanmer’s yard, and although he only has the one victory to his name he has ran with credit on all other four starts, finishing no worse than fourth (and that came in a big-field). He is 5lb higher than for that sole victory which was by a comfortable six-lengths in a better race than this over a couple of furlongs shorter on this forecasted good ground. He tried this new trip of 3m1f the last day at Warwick and after travelling the best on the approach to the second last he made a bad error which halted his momentum and subsequently finished a seven-length third. He’s off the same mark and hopefully with a clear round of hurdling he might be able to gain a second success with Sean Bowen taking the ride again, and he has a fantastic 47% strike-rate when teaming up with this trainer (7/15).
