#IWAC – LUCANDER (4.05 York) – This four-year-old has a perfect 2/2 strike rate at York and if able 5o show the same form as when winning here last August off a 5lb lower mark then he’ll certainly have a squeak with the talented Laura Pearson negating that 5lb with her claim. This is certainly a mark in which he can go well off and can be forgiven the last day when down the field in the Royal Hunt Cup with that coming over 1m on good-to-firm ground, his best form has come over these longer trips with some give in the ground. It’s a typically open contest but I think if showing anywhere near his best form then this gelding should run his race at double figure odds, plenty of places on offer if you shop around.
