Saturday 26th June:

#NAP – RECON MISSION (5.40 Chester) – Won on his penultimate start at Epsom over this 5f trip to record a fifth career success (three of which have come over 5f) and from only 3lb higher here he’s still on a dangerous mark having won a handicap off 97 back in 2019 at York. He was minefield off this mark the last day but that came in a competitive class 2 handicap and he’s now dropped a couple of grades in to class 4 where he is a perfect 2/2, the ground will suit as will the run of the race and he’s drawn nicely in stall 5, so if showing his best form I’d be bitterly disappointed if this five-year-old isn’t seriously involved in the finish. (7/2) – Bet365 – 1ptLost (-1)

#NB – HARMONY LIL (6.45 Doncaster) – Hasn’t been at her best in a couple of runs this season but went close on return to action and also the last day when beaten just under a length both times and though a pound higher for the last day she’s still on a winnable mark in my opinion. The last day came on firm Bath ground so the slight ease in the conditions will be more to her liking and Thore Hammer Hansen claims a valuable 3lb which theoretically puts the three-year-old on a pound lower mark than for her only handicap success to date. (4/1) – Bet365 – 1pt2nd (-1)

Stake: 2pts

June P/L: -6.5pts

Overall P/L (Sept ’17-present): +581.81pts
