Thursday 27th May:
#IWAC – BUXTED TOO (8.30 Sandown) – Didn’t run too badly at Chester the last day when being sent off favourite, he missed the break and had to be pushed along to get his early position, before keeping on despite never looking like winning (over the extended 7f). He takes a step back up to 1m where he was a close second last year at Kempton on his second career start and more recently filled the same spot over C&D in the Esher Cup, beaten six-lengths behind one now rated 110. He’s off a mark of 79 and if able to break on terms I think he might be overpriced, he should handle the slower ground having ran well on the synthetics, including a win at Chelmsford on his first start of the season. Each-way four places on offer with a couple of bookmakers. (10/1) – William Hill – 0.5pt ew (4 places) – Lost (-1)
Stake: 1pt
May P/L: +1.53pts
Overall P/L (Sept ’17-present): +589.31pts
