Saturday 15th May:
#NB – SAAHEQ (5.00 Newmarket) – Has been running well of late and is sitting on a mark of 83, which is 4lb lower than his highest winning perch (achieved on the fibresand). He won on his penultimate start at Lingfield on the all-weather before going down by a length in an Ascot handicap the last day from a 3lb lower mark. If he arrives here in the same mood as those last two runs then he’d have a good chance of getting his head in front again with William Buick a good booking in the saddle. (7/2) – Bet365 – 1pt – Lost (-1)
#NAP – GALAH (7.05 Doncaster) – Won and was a close second over a mile last term on soft ground, the win coming off a 5lb lower mark and the second was only off a pound lower in a competitive York nursery back in October. She was outclassed in a listed event on her last start of the season but reappeared with a fair effort on quick ground at Windsor when stepping up to 1m2f for the first time, staying-on through the line to be beaten three-and-a-half-lengths, so she’s worth another crack at this trip. She’s been eased a pound for that and the return to a softer surface will suit her, I can see her going well here. (10/3) – Sky Bet – 1pt – Lost (-1)
