Friday 30th April:

#NAP – LITTLE TED (3.05 Musselburgh) – Fairly consistent four-year-old who has slipped back to the same mark of 63 in which he won over a furlong shorter at this course last June, winning by a head when travelling like the best horse in the race. This extra furlong will be fine with him twice running well over 1m2f after that win off higher marks. He returned with a fair 7/14 at Pontract when backed into favouritism and he’s been eased a couple of pounds since then, the form of that has some substance to it as well with the third winning since so hopefully with that return under his belt this gelding can take a step forward and win on second start of the season like he did last year. (6/1) – Bet365 – 1ptLost (-1)

#NB – EMJAYTWENTYTHREE (3.30 Chepstow) – Not much impression on his first three career starts in novice events but those gave him a nice mark in which to exploit and on both handicap starts he’s finished second off marks of 63 and 64. He’s up 2lb since the last of those when beaten half-a-length in slightly better company but he should still be capable of winning from a mark of 66 in my opinion. Both those starts came over 6f, his only two attempts at this trip, which he’s having another crack at here having struggled to see out 7f in a maiden the last day with higher rated rivals ahead of him (the winner now rated 86). The slightly easing ground will be in favour as well so back in a handicap over this 6f trip could hopefully see this colt open his account this afternoon. (11/2) – Betfair – 1pt2nd (-1)

Stake: 2pts

April P/L: +3.8pts

Overall P/L (Sept ’17-present): +587.78pts
