Wednesday 28th April:
#NAP – ROSE HIP (4.30 Ascot) – This six-year old has been consistent over the past two summers, notching up five wins as well as a few close placed efforts. She’s only 3lb above the mark in which she won over C&D back in July on good ground and also went close off slightly higher marks when raised in grade a couple times since. She wasn’t at her best on her seasonal return a couple of weeks ago in a Bath listed event but can be forgiven having missed the break and was eased up inside the final furlong, losing by just under seven-lengths. She’s back down into class 4 company and with race conditions to suit I think she’s got a good chance if showing her best form in the hands of Tom Marquand who has a fantastic record on this mare (1-1-1-1-1-2).
