Thursday 22nd April:

#NAP – THE KNOT IS TIED (2.00 Warwick) – This six-year-old’s last success came just over two years ago when winning a class 2 juvenile handicap hurdle at Newbury off a mark of 121. His form for a while after was not good at all, with three consecutive pulled-up runs before a further three where he was well beaten, though all of those came on soft/heavy ground which is a viable excuse and as a result his mark has dropped significantly. He now runs off 109 and both runs this spring have hinted that he might be ready to win again, he was second at Doncaster before going off a 6/4F at Wincanton where he finished fifth having not travelled well in the early stages under an amateur rider. Bryony Frost takes the ride now and with him dangerously well-handicapped on ground that suits I think he’ll go close if able to show anywhere near his best form. (4/1) – Bet365 – 1pt Lost (-1)

Stake: 1pt

April P/L: +5.55pts

Overall P/L (Sept ’17-present): +589.53pts
