Monday 12th April:
#NAP – EXELERATOR EXPRESS (2.00 Huntingdon) – This seven-year old has more experience over fences than his other rivals in this novice event and that could pay dividends I’m hoping. He was a fortunate winner on his penultimate start at Uttoxeter with a few falling when in front and only two finished in the end, but the last day saw him go down by a neck at Market Rasen on better ground and despite a 3lb rise I think there should be more to come especially if good ground suits him more. He was second and third through the winter off the same mark in which he won off and the winner of both those races was a horse called Funambule Sivola, who has won twice more since, now rated 149 and was beaten just three-and-a-quarter-lengths by Shishkin at Aintree a few days ago. That form is rock solid and if finding more improvement here then he’s still handicapped to go very close. (3/1) – Bet365 – 1pt – WON (+4)
