Tuesday 6th April:

#NAP – STEAL A MARCH (2.20 Exeter) – This six-year-old was pulled-up the last day when trying almost 3m for the first time and prior to that wasn’t at his best at Ascot when finishing midfield in a higher grade handicap but on his first start of the season he was a good third at Cheltenham in that same grade with Voodoo Doll further behind. He’s only a pound higher here and this drop into class 4 company and back down to the extended 2m5f should help this gelding, he represents Nicky Henderson and is his only runner on the card, I think if showing his best form he should be more than capable of being involved off this mark of 116 in the colours of her majesty The Queen. (15/2) – Bet365 – 1pt – WON (+9.5)

#IWAC – TUKHOOM (4.35 Pontefract) – One of the more experienced runners in the field, this eight-year-old is a three time winner over the mile trip including once over C&D (that came off a 9lb higher mark back in 2019). He’s kept his fitness up on the all-weather through the winter and despite not really getting involved in those runs you can excuse them as he’s never won on the synthetics. He takes a drop back down into class 5 company where he has won four times as well as numerous placed efforts, the short break he’s had since his last run in late January may have helped as well as he’s ran well fresh before and he’s looking well-handicapped now off a mark of 70 if showing anywhere near the level of form he showed last summer/autumn when competing in higher grade events off marks in the 80’s. Each-way offering mostly four-places but you can find five with one firm. (10/1) – William Hill – 0.5pt ew (4 places)Lost (-1)

Stake: 2pts

April P/L: -4pts

Overall P/L (Sept ’17-present): +579.98pts
