Saturday 6th March:

#NAP – ANY NEWS (1.30 Kelso) – This six-year-old has made a strong start to his career after falling in his sole point. He won a bumper at Exeter by seven-lengths and has improved on both starts over hurdles, winning at Bangor with a subsequent winner ten-lengths back in second and the last day was an even better run at Cheltenham despite finishing second. The horse who beat him by a length was Make Me A Believer who was beaten half-a-length in a Grade 2 next time out and he also had the re-opposing Lucky One twelve-lengths behind (he has won since), so on this evidence he should really be confirming this form on the same terms and if improving again then he’s got to have a great chance of landing this Grade 2. #NB – BALLYWOOD (2.55 Doncaster) – He’s not won for almost two years now but that came off a 1lb higher mark which makes him of interest in this. He’s won over C&D and went close in the same conditions next time when beaten by the 160-rated Dynamite Dollars, both on good ground. He’s ran with promise a couple of times this season, his second at Fontwell off a 6lb higher mark was a fair effort and he’s had his wind done since his last chase start which could be what’s needed to get him back in the winners enclosure. The last day saw him easily beaten in a jumpers bumper but that would have just been to keep his fitness up and he should fair much better here if showing anywhere near his best form. (10/3) – Bet365 – 1ptLost (-1)

Stake: 2pts
