Monday 1st March:
#NB – GIPSY LEE ROSE (1.55 Ayr) – Had gone close on two of her last three starts, probably found 3m1f a bit too far the last day when beaten 19-lengths into third so the drop back in trip will suit and she’s also been eased a pound. On her penultimate start she was beaten just under two-lengths in a 0-125 and she’s now dropped into a 0-110, she’s gotta have a chance of getting her head in front for the first time with this trainer (has won in Ireland for Joseph O’Brien). (3/1) – Bet365 – 1pt – 3rd (-1)
#NAP – REIVERS LAD (3.05 Ayr) – Not usually a price I go for but I feel this is the horse to beat here. He’s 5/10 under rules but has had a couple of lengthy lay-offs in recent times. He landed a novice hurdle hat-trick back in 2017, returned from 614-days off with a debut chase success in a decent enough novice chase & most recently returned from 772-days off but fell when in front as they were about to exit the back straight at Haydock. This mark of 125 is certainly one he can win off if over that fall and showing somewhere near his best with trip/ground in favour. (2/1) – Betfair – 1pt – Lost (-1)
