Tuesday 9th February:

#IWAC – KURAKA (4.00 Taunton) – Formerly with Gordon Elliot and since moving to Jeremy Scott’s yard he’s ran two nice races in defeat in handicap company. The first came in a higher grade at over 2m3f at this course when fourth & that result was boosted as the winner went in again in a class 2 next time out. The last day saw him finish third beaten just under six-lengths at Newbury in heavy ground dropped to this trip, he led at the last when making a blunder and though that wouldn’t have cost him the race he may well have finished slightly closer. A pound rise in the weights is fair and his trainer does enjoy a winner at this course. He’s still only a seven-year old so there’s room for improvement on his third start for this stable and if providing it here then he’s overpriced in my opinion (each-way mostly four places, five with Sky Bet). (12/1) – Sky Bet – 0.5pt ew (5 places)N/R (0)

Stake: 1pt

February P/L: +2.2pts

Overall P/L (Sept ’17-present): +575.15pts
