Monday 4th January:
#NAP – MISS ZIP (1.55 Fakenham) – This mare landed a hat-trick in the early stages of last year, two victories at Sedgefield over this 2m5f trip as well as one over the extended 2m3f at Ffos Las. She’s now 4lb lower than for that latest win having not fired so far this season over longer trips and the blinkers, which she’s 3/3 whilst wearing, were taken off. The drop back in trip and re-application of those blinkers should see her in a better light here and Adam Wedge is back doing the steering taking over from 3lb-claimer Connor Ring who has been on board all three starts this season. Trip and ground are fine and if able to show the same level of form as those wins last season then she’s going to go very close now dropped in a class 5 0-100, having finished fifth the last day in a class 2 at Hereford and a couple of those victories last year came in class 4 company. (7/2) – Sky Bet – 1pt – Lost (-1)
