Good start to the new week with a 5/2 winning #NAP. Here are my three for Tuesday’s racing. Good luck if following!
Tuesday 8th May:
#NAP – BLAZON (8.00 Ludlow) – This is only his third handicap start and he’s been dropped 3lb from his opening perch after showing some promise, especially when fourth on reappearance in a higher grade when favourite. The horses who finished second and third that day have both won since so this unexposed five-year old should go close if reproducing that run here for a trainer who enjoys having winners at this track. (6/1) – Bet365 – 3pt – Lost (-3)
#NB – NIGHTFLY (6.30 Ludlow) – Has taken well to fences having won on chase debut over this trip on good ground and has since finished second twice (one of which was in a higher grade). Should still be more to come from this mare from a 6lb higher mark than for opening victory on just her fourth start in this sphere and the drying ground is a plus. (4/1) – William Hill – 2pt – WON (+10)
#IWAC – FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHT (6.50 Exeter) – Last couple of outings haven’t been convincing but they were against much stronger opposition over a trip probably too sharp. Won on handicap debut from a mark of 111 and although now 15lb higher his close second over two-and-a-half miles at Ascot looks good form and now tackling a further step up in trip he’s entitled to be involved now dropped in grade. Looks slightly overpriced. (11/1) – William Hill – 1pt – Lost (-1)
