No winners to end the month of April but it ended in yet another profitable one – +25.5pts, making that 8/8 since writing on this blog! Here are my first three of the new month, which can also be found on the ‘Tipsters Review’ website – the link is at the bottom of the page. Good luck if following!

Tuesday 1st May:

#NAP – SALT WHISTLE BAY (3.45 Great Yarmouth) – Very consistent last season which included a couple of victories over 7f/1m on soft ground which he’ll encounter again here on reappearance. Ended the campaign with a solid second at Newmarket on quick ground and there’s a suggestion that he prefers it a bit softer. If ready after a 179-day break he’ll go close with the yard in good form and Martin Harley has a 26% strike-rate when teaming up with Rae Guest. (3/1) – Paddy Power – 3pt – WON (+12)

#NB – ICONIC CODE (4.05 Nottingham) – First start for new stable after ending her time at Mick Channon’s with a soft-ground win in October. Reappears from a 7lb higher mark but she shaped as though this step up in trip will suit when coming from well off the pace when winning at Pontefract and this is only the fourth runner Keith Dalgliesh has sent here which would suggest they’re not here for just a pipe-opener. (7/1) – Bet365 – 2pt – Lost (-2)

#IWAC – WHITE CHOCOLATE (3.55 Brighton) – Began last campaign with two wins around this time of the year when the going was similar and both those victories came over this mile-and-a-quarter trip. She continued to run well in four subsequent starts from this mark of 85 despite not winning (three lengths was furthest beaten). Slightly disappointed on last run but that was in a Class 2 from a 2lb higher mark over a couple of furlongs further. The drop trip/class will suit and we know she goes well fresh so should run her race in conditions that suit. (6/1) – Bet365 – 1pt – Lost (-1)

Stake: 6pts

May P/L: 0pts

Overall P/L (Sept ’17-present): +371.2pts
