a FOURTH successive #NAP was landed on Wednesday with Rainy City winning at 4/1. We can’t make it 5 in a row can we? Keep them crossed. Here are my three for Thursday, good luck if following!
Thursday 26th April:
#NAP – CRESSWELL LEGEND (3.55 Warwick) – Very lightly-raced seven-year old who returns from an 81-day break after a respectable second behind Callet Mad (who scored easily yesterday) and had previously landed a double over 2m5f/3m. The latter was on handicap debut and although 6lb higher than for that win here he’s still unexposed and has won both starts coming off a break. Can put up a bold showing as he’s versatile in regards the ground. (7/2) – Ladbrokes – 5pt – Lost (-5)
#NB – RITA’S MAN (3.45 Beverley) – Ended his time with Richard Hannon in decent form but hasn’t shown that level of form for new handler Keith Dalgliesh as of yet. Promise the last day coming off a short break when fifth at Doncaster and he’s now back on his last winning mark which came over this mile-and-a-quarter trip and it’s significant that Silvestre De Sousa has been booked for the ride as he was on board on that occasion. This is his trip and this drying ground is a plus (though has won on soft before). (6/1) – Bet365 – 3pt – WON (+24)
#IWAC – BON PAPA (4.15 Punchestown) – A very open contest but this horse has a decent level of form to figure. He was beaten just over a length on handicap debut the last day in a race that has produced two subsequent winners (Crosshue Boy & Patricks Park). Gets into this off the same mark and is 3/3 over this minimum trip. He’s ran over further in Grade 1 races won by Monalee and Shattered Love in recent starts and with a like;ly strong gallop this race could be set up perfectly for Barry Geraghty to pick up the pieces late on. (13/2) – Bet365 – 2pt – 3rd (-2)
April P/L: +31.5pts
Overall P/L (Sept ’17-present): +377.2pts
