Nice to land a successive #NAP this time at 4/1 after Sunday’s 5/1 drifter. #Iwac plugged on for third whilst the #Nb was a N/R. It’s day one of the #PunchestownFestival on Tuesday (no selections from me for there but I’m sure there will be over the other four days). Here are Tuesday’s three selections. Good luck if following!

Tuesday 24th April:

#NAP – POINT N SHOOT (2.15 Exeter) – Went close over C&D last week at large odds in soft ground and this looks a less taxing task from an unchanged mark. Only career victory came over this trip at Lingfield on testing ground in the spring of last year and recent efforts have suggested that his next win is around the corner. 10lb claimer Tom Buckley keeps the ride having struck up a nice rapport the last twice and should put up a bold bid. (5/2) – Ladbrokes – 5pt – WON (+17.5)

#NB – THE HAPPY CHAPPY (3.05 Ludlow) – Before finding 3m5f a bit too far when last seen in December this gelding had pitched up a double, one of which was over this track and trip from a 4lb lower mark. This is only his fifth chasing start so is entitled to much more improvement and has shown that he can go well fresh. James Bowen negates a handy 3lb and all three of his wins under rules have come on good ground which he encounters again here. Sure to go well. (8/1) – William Hill – 3pt – Lost (-3)

#IWAC – SCHNABEL (4.05 Ludlow) – First run since a good third in December behind Huntsman Son (subsequently finished close in much higher grades than this including fourth in Imperial Cup at Sandown). Prior to that effort he won over C&D and the drying ground won’t be an issue. In the hope this six-year old is ready after a break I can see him running a good race in a pretty weak contest on paper with only three other winners in the line-up. (13/2) – William Hill – 2pt – N/R (0)

Stake: 10pts

April P/L: +7pts

Overall P/L (Sept ’17-present): +352.7pts
