Nice drift on Sunday’s winning #NAP from 7/2 out to 5/1. The other two selections both ran good races finishing 2nd and 3rd. New week now, here are my three to start you off. Good luck if following!

Monday 23rd April:

#NAP – JUSTFORJAMES (5.40 Sedgefield) – Has won 3/6 at this venue and although he could only manage third (beaten five-lengths) the last day at Carlisle from this new mark the return back to this track can see him go well with the yard still in good form. Very open little handicap but I can see this gelding notching a fourth career victory. (4/1) – William Hill – 5pt – WON (+25)

#NB – HERE’S HERBIE (4.00 Newton Abbot) – Just over two years since his last win but he’s hinted recently that he may be about ready to enter the winners enclosure again from a mark 9lb below his highest winning perch. The drying ground will be of help and this ten-year old now drops into class 4 company for the first time since his last win. He’s 2lb lower than when falling with the race in the bag at Exeter four runs back and a similar effort will see him go very close. (5/1) – William Hill – 3pt – N/R (0)

#IWAC – RYEDALE RACER (3.20 Hexham) – Has only won a couple of novice hurdles over this two-and-a-half trip after scoring in a bumper on second start but has been running well enough to suggest that a first handicap victory could be close especially after a recent third beaten by just over a length in heavy ground. He’s versatile ground wise and is a dual-course winner so a big run can be expected despite the form of his stable not currently firing. (13/2) – Betfair – 2pt – 3rd (-2)

Stake: 10pts

April P/L: -11pts

Overall P/L (Sept ’17-present): +334.7pts
