A #NAP winner to start the week and it was at a tasty price of 8/1 after a nice drift from the advised 4/1. #Iwac ran well for a long way before fading whilst the #Nb was embarrassing having been left to race 15 lengths off the pack he jumped about four hurdlers before calling it a day, very strange. Anyway on to Tuesday, not a great days racing on paper ahead but the winners are still there. Good luck if following!

Tuesday 27th March:

#NAP – ACKER BILK (3.30 Southwell) – Was visually impressive when winning easily over a furlong further here last Wednesday and now carries a 6lb penalty. The slight drop back in trip shouldn’t be a problem and if he’s allowed an uncontested lead again he’ll probably be hard to peg back at a track which favours those who go forward. Far less exposed than his main rivals, especially over this new trip. (2/1) – Bet365 – 5pt – Lost (-5)

#NB – ACT NOW (4.15 Hereford) – Reverts back to hurdling after being pulled-up over fences the last day but she won this last year (from an 8lb lower mark) after running poorly the race before so that latest effort isn’t as worrying. Enjoys the softer ground and her form over this trip reads well, 1-1-2-2. Noel Fehily gets on well with the horse and if on a going day she’s sure to go close as this has more than likely been the target. (11/2) – Sky Bet – 3pt – Lost (-3)

#IWAC – CE LA VIE (7.10 Newcastle) – I’ve opted for the same trainer/jockey combo as my Nap and it’s interesting that Conor Beasley makes the trip back up North for just this one ride. Dalgliesh has two in the race and this is the choice of his main jockey. This lightly-raced four-year old had competed in a Grade 3 at Naas before running in last season’s 1,000 Guineas which was won by Winter. He’s obviously thought of highly in the yard and is now able to run in a 0-75 handicap on all-weather debut. First run since October but has to be worth a punt in this low grade after prior assignments, this is all-weather debut. (11/2) – Sky Bet – 2pt – Lost (-2)

Stake: 10pts

March P/L: +90.3pts

Overall P/L (Sept ’17-present): +365.7pts
