A good 9/1 #NB winner on Tuesday gaining me my 13th success of the month so far. The #Nap fell when the race was beginning to get going & the #Iwac was a N/R, so a profitable day. Here are my three for Wednesday!
Wednesday 20th December:
#NAP – TACENDA (2.05 Newbury) – Jumped well last time in a similar contest to this at Carlisle behind a Willie Mullins good thing. Had previously beat two of these rivals on her chase debut at Fontwell over two-miles-five-furlongs and the step up in trip should suit this mare having seemingly been outpaced latest. Harry Cobden a good jockey booking too, should go well. (11/2) – Ladbrokes – 5pt – Lost
#NB – THOMAS BROWN (2.30 Ludlow) – Won an Aintree handicap last winter off a 1lb higher mark and was in the process of running a decent race the last day at Ascot when unseating his jockey. Has been eased in grade here and he has a 60% strike-rate on this going so a clear round should see this eight-year old go close for a trainer who enjoys his rare visits here (3/7 wins). (9/2) – William Hill – 3pt – Lost
#IWAC – IFANDBUTWHYNOT (1.20 Ludlow) – This seven-time winner has a preference for this minimum trip and can put an average reappearance run behind him as he tends to need it. He should be match-fit now and is still sitting 5lb below his highest winn9ing mark. He was a course and distance winner back in May and that was his handler Tim Easterly’s second ever visit to this track. Could play a leading role with ground conditions to suit. (11/2) – William Hill – 1pt ew – Lost
