A shame that the #Nap was a non-runner on Thursday, I really did fancy his chances. We returned EW money on the #Iwac at 15/2 but the #Nb never got into contention. Some good races on Friday, here are my three selections.

Friday 24th November:

#NAP – KAYF GRACE (2.05 Ascot) – Performed very well in bumpers last season, she followed up a 53-length success at Fakenham by landing a Group 2 at Aintree ahead of smart mares Augusta Kate & Shattered Love. She made a winning start to life over hurdles and the form has been franked a couple of times since. If ready after a break she could take some catching under Nico de Boinville. (15/8) – William Hill – 5pt – Lost

#NB – THOMAS BROWN (2.40 Ascot) – Made a more than satisfactory reappearance when sixth in a higher grade here over three miles. He’s dropping both in trip and grade here and will have stripped foster for that latest outing. He thrives on this ground (6/9) and his yard have been flying (38% strike-rate in past 14 days). Can play a role at a course he’s previously won at. (5/1) – Ladbrokes – 3pt – Fell

#IWAC – MIDNIGHT SILVER (2.50 Ffos Las) – Jamie Snowdon’s mare is unbeaten from three starts at the Welsh track and the heavy ground plays right into her strengths having won five times in the mud already. She has won fresh in the past so match fitness shouldn’t be an issue and looks set for a big run in the hands of the thriving Bryony Frost, who is more than worth her 5lb claim. (11/2) – Sky Bet – 1pt ew – Lost

Stake: 10pts

P/L: -16.5pts
