Having ended October on +51pts and making that 2/2 profitable months on this blog, I’m looking to kickstart the new month with a winner or two on Wednesday. Two over the jumps and my #Nap runs on the all-weather in the evening.

Wednesday 1st November:

#NAP – DENMEAD (6.55 Kempton Park) – This gelding was out of his depth in Cesarewitch Trial at Newmarket in September and now back in class and returned to this track could see him back to his best. He’s a previous C&D winner and has also finished a close second twice. I’m surprised he’s been dropped a pound for his last visit when beaten two lengths – he can capitalise on that with the assistance of Adam Kirby in the saddle. (7/2) – Bet365 – 5pt – N/R

#NB – ASHOKA (2.40 Fakenham) – Dan Skelton’s five-year old showed mixed form over hurdles but won on chase debut over this trip and followed that up with a fair third in better company at Fontwell. He won on Stratford’s sharp track over hurdles so may benefit from the tight nature of this course for the Skelton partnership. (8/1) – William Hill – 3pt – Lost

#IWAC – SHINOOKI (3.10 Fakenham) – His last three runs haven’t been too promising but the latest of those was in a class 2 when fifth (the winner is rated 141). He’s been dropped to his last winning mark of 110 and that victory came over this C&D. Form figures at this course read 2-1-1-3-2-1 so on that evidence he may come back to form with the return to this course and a drop back to class 4 company likely to suit. (5/1) – Bet365 – 1pt ew – Placed

Stake: 10pts

P/L: 0pts
