A good 8/1 #Iwac winner to start the week, kept on well after wandering momentarily to score by around two lengths. The eagerly awaited chase debut of Yanworth has arrived, at Exeter on Tuesday, so will be interesting to see how he fares. Anyway, my three for Tuesday are below!

Tuesday 24th October:

#NAP – LALOR (2.50 Exeter) – Richard Woollacott’s five-year old was last seen winning a Grade 2 bumper at the Grand National meeting at odds of 33/1. He beat some promising horses the day, most notably Western Ryder (fifth in the Champion Bumper, not beaten far by Fayonagh) and If The Cap Fits (who romped home in a similar race to this recently). He will enjoy the underfoot conditions here and if hurdling well on debut he should take all the beating. (7/4) – Bet365 – 5pt – Lost

#NB – FRUIT SALAD (4.40 Newcastle) – This filly strung together some consistent efforts last summer but hasn’t been in the same form this campaign. However, the return to this track could see her run a better race. She’s twice finished second here and although only sixth here last time, she was only beaten two & a half lengths in a higher grade. She’s been dropped a pound for that effort and has the talented Josephine Gordon in the saddle, she could go close for a trainer who has a good record here. (7/1) – Betfair – 3pt – WON

#IWAC – SUTTERS MILL (3.50 Exeter) – Young jockey Mitchell Bastyan has created a good rapport with this horse finishing first and second on him and another big run is expected with the step back up in trip and underfoot conditions to suit. He’s progressed nicely so far this year and still only a six-year old there could be more improvement to come. We know he stays as he’s won over further in better ground and hopefully Bastyan can pick them off from the back and run into a place or better. (7/1) – Bet365 – 1pt ew – Lost

Stake: 10pts

P/L: -20.9pts
