Thought the #Nap was travelling like the winner on Wednesday but was battled out of it by a well handicapped horse over hurdles. The #Nb didn’t pick up finishing a well held third and at time of posting this the #Iwac was still to run. Here are my three for Thursday, need that winner!

Thursday 28th September:

#NAP – DATHANNA (2.55 Pontefract) – Arrives here in great form and is seeking a hat-trick after two soft ground wins at Newmarket, the most recent of those was a class 2 nursery. She is dropped a couple of classes and this looks a nice opportunity to land the hat-trick from the plum draw in stall 1 on ground she relishes. (9/4) – Sky Bet – 5pt – Lost

#NB – TIP TWO WIN (3.45 Newmarket) – Produced a good run in second on his penultimate start over 6f and followed that up with a comprehensive win over a furlong further at Doncaster when showing a nice turn of foot, both in listed events. Seems to go on any ground so the potential of rain shouldn’t be a problem, big chance. (4/1) – Sky Bet – 3pt – Lost

#IWAC – VIOGNIER (5.40 Perth) – Ran well enough on hurdling debut in a better class before an unfortunate unseat in the early stages next time when she jinked rounding a bend. Was stepped up in trip for her last run when a held second in heavy ground but showed signs that a further step up in trip might suit and can improve on handicap debut. Trainer has 20% strike-rate at this course and jockey James Corbett negates 5lbs. (10/1) – Ladbrokes – 1pt ew – Non-runner

Stake: 10pts

P/L: +48.4pts
