A bad day by my standards yesterday, it really didn’t go to plan. I thought the #Nap Titi Makfi ran well enough but looked outclassed going up to Listed level, but she deserved that opportunity. Looking to get back to winning ways tomorrow, here are my three for Thursday.
Thursday 21st September:
#NAP – CENTRAL CITY (3.00 Great Yarmouth) – This two-year old gelding put some moderate efforts behind him when finishing second behind a future winner on his penultimate start before winning with a little bit up his sleeve on Wolverhampton’s all-weather over this distance. A 7lbs rise here asks for more but looks capable of defying top-weight. (3/1) – Bet365 – 5pt – Lost
#NB – JET STREAMING (4.20 Ayr) – This Irish-raider arrives on the back of a good seventh in a pretty hot handicap at The Curragh, this looks much more realistic. She had previously won at the Galway festival on soft ground so conditions here should suit and the trainer won this race last year. Jockey claims a valuable 5lbs, big run expected. (6/1) – Bet365 – 3pt – Non-Runner
#IWAC – KASSIA (4.00 Pontefract) – I tipped this filly the last day when second to a well handicapped rival on good to soft. She was trying to concede 12lbs to the winner that day so on that evidence it was a fair effort. She won this race from just 4lbs lower last year so you’d have to think that this has been a target of Mick Channon’s for sometime. (13/2) – Sky Bet – 1pt ew – Non-Runner
