The Nap (3/1) was a very impressive winner on Wednesday and I think we were unlucky with the NB who lost maybe 4 lengths out of the stalls only to be beaten by about a length. Still a profitable day, onto Thursday now and it looks very tough indeed, but have picked three which should all go close hopefully.
Thursday 7th September:
#NAP – SPECIAL PURPOSE (3.50 Salisbury) – After two pretty routine wins in Novice company, this daughter of Scat Daddy was a very respectable fifth in the group 2 Lowther Stakes at York behind the exciting Threading when upped to 6f for the first time. She’ll handle any ease in the ground and the drop in class looks a good move. Looks the one to beat here. (3/1) – Bet365 – 5pt – Lost
#NB – DIAMONDS A DANCING (5.05 Haydock) – Has won two of previous four starts and the other two runs have been creditable. Up 3lb since most recent second, but steps back up in trip (which he won over two starts back). Versatile on ground and trainer has been in decent form recently. (6/1) – Bet365 – 3pt – Lost
#IWAC – KASSIA (4.20 Salisbury) – Was very progressive last summer/autumn winning 3/4 handicaps and also landing a listed event at Newmarket. She returns to handicapping after being far from disgraced last time in listed company when a little keen. The drop in class means she carries top weight but is only 3lbs higher than her last win in a handicap so must have a chance on that evidence. (15/2) – Bet365 – 1pt ew – Placed
