A lovely drift on the IWAC yesterday, Champagne Chaser, tipped 13/2 with an SP of 10/1 won well on Tuesday after the near 200 day lay off. At time of posting I still had one to run later. On to Wednesday’s action, think I’ve got three good looking picks here.
Wednesday 6th September:
#NAP – RIGOLETTO (3.40 Chepstow) – Won on handicap debut off a mark of 79, now 7lbs higher but has put up a few good efforts of late, most notably when getting going too late when less than a length third at Salisbury ahead of Whip Nae Nae. Trip ideal and any ease in the ground won’t be a problem. Trainer is in hot form with 6/15 (40%) winners in last two weeks. (3/1) – Betfair – 5pt – WON
#NB – JOHN JOINER (4.10 Chepstow) – This 5-year old gelding has been getting closer to getting back in winners’ enclosure recently with some fine efforts, most recently on Friday at Sandown going down by a length in second. He continues to drop down the handicap and now sits just 1lb higher than for his last win. Any give in the ground will be beneficial. (4/1) – Bet365 – 3pt – Lost
#IWAC – SONG OF SUMMER (3.50 Lingfield) – Gained first win in a Doncaster Nursery in July and followed that up with a good second on soft ground latest. The winner of that race went on to win next time out by 6 lengths so the form looks strong. Only raised 3lb since her win and looks slightly overpriced here. (6/1) – Betfair – 1pt ew – Lost
